Muffin App Privacy Policy
To make things simpler to read, "we"/"us"/"our" refers to Uh Huh Yeah, the makers of Muffin App and "you" refers to you, the reader/user.
We collect the e-mail addresses of those who express their interest in Muffin App by volunteering their email address and/or of those who sign up for an account with Muffin App. We may also collect other information volunteered either by way of direct communication with us, through surveys or through forums on this domain directly relating to Muffin App and the use of Muffin App. The information collected is used to improve Muffin App and the way we communicate with our users, and is not shared with or sold to other organisations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services you have requested, when we have your permission, or when it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.
Information gathering and usage
When you register for Muffin App we ask for information such as your name and email address. If you sign up for a paid plan (including a free trial of a paid plan) we will ask you for relevant billing information including credit card details. We use this information for: providing said products and service, billing, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, and medical research. We only ever ask for what information is completely necessary and what information we do collect, is keep encrypted, safe and secured including where appropriate compliance with Payment Card Industry standards.
Cookies, Milk and a Muffin (App)
A cookie in this context is a very very tiny (more of a crumb than a whole cookie) piece of data that Muffin App stores on your computer while your are logged in. It has to do this because you can only access your data after logging in with your username (or email address) and a password, but Muffin App only knows that you're logged in because it left a little note (the cookie) on your computer to remind itself of that. After you've logged out of Muffin App, or after a certain amount of time has lapsed, you are required to log in all over again. Muffin App does this to protect you, not because we are Evil!
Storing data.
We use third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run your life Muffin App. Although we own the code, databases, and all rights to the Muffin App application, you retain all rights to your data.
Disclosure
We may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the Terms of Service. But other than that, we will not give, sell or trade your personal information.
Ch-ch-changes
Periodically, we may have to update this policy. We will notify all registered users about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the email address specified in their Muffin App account or by placing a prominent notice on the main Muffin App site.
